Current Initiatives
📦 Blessing Boxes
Blue Water Wish for Kids is currently developing and expanding our Blessing Boxes initiative to provide practical support for local families facing hardship. Depending on available donations and community support, assistance may include food, hygiene items, household essentials, baby items, clothing, seasonal necessities, gift cards that allow us to purchase specific requested items and fresh groceries, and other identified family needs.
🏡 Building Strong Families
We continue to develop resources, encouragement, and practical support designed to strengthen families throughout the year.
🎒 Back-to-School Support
Planning is underway for our Back-to-School Support program, which helps provide school supplies and clothing assistance to local students and families.

Blue Water Wish for Kids is in an important season of growth and development as we expand beyond Christmas into more intentional, year-round family support.
This past Christmas season alone, A Wish for Christmas supported 360 local children, made possible entirely by our community of adopters, donors, shoppers, and volunteers. That impact reinforced both the need in our area and the importance of building strong programs that can continue serving families responsibly and sustainably.
As we move forward, we are:
• Strengthening and organizing our programs
• Expanding year-round family support initiatives
• Creating clearer structure and expectations around assistance
• Building sustainable ways to fund our work
Like many grassroots nonprofits, funding remains a critical need. Every program we offer-from emergency support to seasonal initiatives-depends on community support.
To help sustain our mission, we will also be introducing BWWFK merchandise, with proceeds supporting Blue Water Wish for Kids programs and services. Merchandise is one of several ways supporters can help fund our work while also spreading awareness throughout the community. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, eligible donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Some programs and updates will roll out gradually as we build them thoughtfully and responsibly, staying true to our mission and local focus.
